Natural immunity, as I understand it, is simply a memory of a previous event, when the body successfully fought off a pathogen. "Antibodies" do occur at the time of a poisoning and linger on for a while, but the human body works efficiently and doesn't keep what's not in use.
Of course, starting to talk about "viruses" and "infections" leads to paddling through muddy waters without a natural outlet...
