My now-operative stance is that most likely the conspiracy theories of old and new are probably conspiracy facts. Or at the very least deserving of a thoughtful hearing.

Too many things that seemed to strange to be true have turned out true in the last two years. If our government is willing to lie and kill hundreds of thousands of its own citizens for whatever their purposes of the last two years, well, that is very dark and nefarious. What else have they been willing to do with impunity?

Spy on people, waste money, print more, lie to everyone about all of that and the unknown things we only suspect.

You’re right. It hadn’t occurred to me that the definition is changing. This is evidenced at the moment with “conspiracy theories should now be called spoiler alerts” and the joke: “Q: what’s the difference between a conspiracy theory and the truth? A: about three months.” I’ve never really seen the label as a badge of disgrace although I obviously see it being used that way. When someone would remark to me that that is a conspiracy theory I would often say - “why yes, I have about a dozen going at any one time.” Can’t help it. I’m a curious fellow.

Amen, James! I realized the same thing about “anti-vaxxer” and now proudly embrace the epithet.

“Kids in the Hall” has a skit about the scenario you described, which Jon/Inflamed Cynic just shared the other day:

The reed bending with the wind instead of breaking. We might be on to something powerful and Taoist here, Margaret :)

The Kids in the Hall were brilliant. Thank you for reminding me of this one!

My husband only watches TV news. They got him so angry that I can’t talk to him about anything political or relating to the shots. We’ve had big fights over this & he refused to look at my evidence. He got the Moderna shot but must have gotten a placebo because he’s OK. He did promise not to get another one.

An all too familiar tale. Every time I hear from a family member these days it's about some new target the news told them to hate. (Often, its me.)

At least you got him to stop before these awful negative efficacy boosters!

Hopefully he sticks to that promise. His anger can be related to his seeing his error with having gotten the shot. I read that somewhere recently, but don't recall exactly where. A human response. My husband doesn't like to listen to my information on this either as he initially refused to believe such corruption of this type. He hasn't gotten the shot though and refuses to, but hates hearing of all the corrupt murderous goings on I mention. I will not be censored though....not in my own home, nor censor myself... ( 2 grown sons here too). Nor will Iet it be forgotten or fade to the background. We must remain alert and sound the alarm for those not paying attention!⚠️ Good luck to you!

My husband got all three shots. So did my two adult children. Long story short, my marriage (25 years), went down the drain. At some point in January, my family confronted me, told me they were worried about me being a conspiracy theorist. I´ve stood my ground, and I’m proud of it.

It’s been a hellish year. Trying to pick up the pieces and move forward. My disdain for the perpetrators, has grown immensly. I will not rest until I see everyone of them behind bars.

Omg, that's rich! Those who are so credulous they literally injected themselves with poison telling the one who didn't that they're "worried" about her because she isn't willing to allow herself to accept the truth of 2 + 2 = 5.

My husband & I have also been married 25 years & he threatened divorce 6 times because I tried to warn him. Two of 3 sons tell me not to talk about talk politics & both are jabbed too. One doesn’t speak to me anymore & the other has been sick 3 times in the 6 months since his shot. Was never sick a day in his life before.

Well said! Conspiracy Theorist.... :"CT".... nowadays we can relate to that as "Critical Thinker". A badge of honor as I see it now too ☺️.

Conspiracy theories are also known as *Spoiler Alerts* these days 🤣

But we all know where the term came from, right? 😉

For a while I did stop expressing 'the conspiracy theory' as it was falling on deaf sheep. Not now though I speak up for what I believe is right and yes there are many lies and deceptions out there, however it is now blatantly obvious that it's all about greed and control.

I stand up and say 'NO!

I’ll keep trying to get the right introduction to get the sheep also questioning the narrative.
