This is brilliant, thank you. As a psychiatrist, dealing with your fourth point--"the abandonment of the story means facing too overwhelming a horror"--comprises the bulk of my work. People will go to remarkable lengths to cling to their preferred stories, however incommensurate with reality they may be. They will suffer dreadfully rather than go through the legitimate suffering of giving up their old stories. Often these false stories involve seeing themselves as passive victims and others as oppressors--rather than admitting to their own bad decisions and lack of effort.
Our stories hold us all hostage, even to the point of suffering. I can't imagine what it's like undoing decades of entrenched stories with people as a profession! Kudos to you for taking that on, and not taking the route of so many of your colleagues by throwing pharmaceuticals at the problem.
I'm not overly surprised... Given We are indoctrinated from birth by the psychopaths with money, propagandized and lied to, the groups of Us groomed to create divides, and Our medicine, land, food, water, air, education, electromagnetic environment, and information flow have been deliberately degraded, I think it's a miracle any of Us "wake up."
I have a very great amount of compassion for Our beset race here on Our planet.
We might want to strip the psychopaths' tool to accomplish all this away...
Excellent analysis. I first read Kuhn as an undergrad in engineering school. Without question, the best work ever on the subject. Should be required reading for all science based programs.
The most obvious example is the abortion argument. The fact that they have propagandized better than half of the western world to believe killing your own offspring is both "healthcare" and a "right" is frankly beyond comprehension. For years I always deferred to women being allowed to "choose". But its now clear the "choice" is made before conception, not after. Your photo says it all.
