So true and always about money, this wonderful plant is millions of years old and has taken care of itself during all that time. Yes we need to be more careful, mainly with the ocean, but this race to be the leader and at the forefront is just over the top and needs to stop.

The Earth has been here for ~a bazillion years.

Geological record shows that the climate has always been unstable.

Cold>warm; dry>rainy; O2/CO2 up, down, catty wumpus.

Polar ice melt, freezes, goes bye-bye, comes back and freezes to the equator.

Lather, rinse, repeat.

Weather on this planet does what it pleases.

CO2 has gone as high as >500ppm.

CO2, methane, and other "greenhouse gases" poot from the Earth's core. Volcanos. Cracks and fissures in the crust.

Planet is still here.

Sun rises and sets.

Worried about CO2 levels?

Quit covering the countryside with non-recyclable PVs and wind farms. Put them on roofs close to where they will be used.

Restore wetlands, grasslands, and forests.

Put scrubbers on yer coal plants.

Do something intelligent.

This planet runs on carbon.

It is carbon.

The Carbon Phobia is a quack religion.

A cult.

I rejected this nonsense long ago.

I spent over a decade reading the various climate blogs and websites.

“Do we actually have a full and perfect understanding of atmospheric physics, meteorology, environmental chemistry, geoscience, plate tectonics, astronomy, oceanography, etc. ?”

This is the conclusion I finally came to.

Additionally, allowing a pack of generalists call themselves Climatologists and drive the conversation was the start of the problem, IMHO. They generally need to be stripped of their credibility and called out as charlatans.

Yes! So much of our plight is the deification of "experts".

Much as they might wish, credentials do not make one deserving of blind faith, or immune to questioning.

Wow...I am stressed after reading this! But the point is superbly made. I recently watched Ship Breakers on YouTube. If some climate change person wants to stop fossil fuel and use of plastic straws (notice how no one complained about.biuons of masks and PPE being thrown away), I will ask them to watch that show, then tell me why I can't sip a soda in my fossil fuel car!

If “Climate Change” wasn’t a phony, government-sponsored psyop to destroy the middle class and herd us all into small cubicles, Greta Thunberg and company would be protesting in Palestine, Ohio.

Good analogy with the two-digit bike lock. And, a well-written article that sums up what the issue of climate change is really about! Thanks!
