Why my method is to spend time learning instead of “standing with” anyone. A curation of the best reading (and viewing) I’ve done so far on the Israeli/Palestine propaganda op.
Spot on. I said to my wife recently, that I don't believe anything in the news anymore, especially if it evokes strong emotions. I've always been skeptical, but now I'm at a level beyond skeptical: benefit of the doubt no longer given to media or leaders in any situation. It makes living harder when trust is gone, but that's where I am.
Thank you for the compilation of non mainstream views.
Yeah, James Corbett advocates "taking information with a grain of salt", which I take to be a little too mild. I'd say we're in "assume it's a lie which serves a nefarious agenda, until proven otherwise" territory.
And I wish them luck, cause I don't see too many 'sacred Cows' going un-sacrificed over the next few months/years.
I listened to a short video by The Alchemist - on youtube yesterday - where she mentioned the feeling of inevitability that is part of the whole trauma-based mind control: We are helpless, it will all happen as THEY plan, there is nothing we can do, etc.) Of course.
That would necessarily be part of the illusion of their control. More deeply - because we are always playing catch - they would also use prophecies and religious texts to pump up the shared illusion around the inevitables. (I think we're seeing a lot of this regarding 'end times' themes.)
So we add our energy to a specific outcome because that outcome was written in a book a long time ago. Well, there have been lots of prophecies in the past - you can pick and choose - or you can dig in and find agency here and now and move in the direction of the future you want, right?
So many ways to derail. If one of your sacred cows is a specific religion and it's stories (there is always truth interlaid among the lies too) and you won't let that go... I know you see my point. Over and over.
Interesting, I will look for that video. Thanks, Kathleen.
Yes, the learned, cultural helplessness, it's inevitable, what can we do... a lot of of it is trauma, pain-body stuff. I wrote a long essay about "end times" back in 2012 when everything was supposedly coming to an end because the Mayan calendar was flipping a page. I talked about how "this is it, we're doomed" goes back through every civilization including Sumerian. So, End Times is as old as WORDS. At that time I had a friend who said "I hope everything DOES end. The world is shit." Now, if that isn't pain/trauma speaking, I don't know what it is.
Also, people have this bad habit of identifying with their beliefs. So when you challenge their beliefs they think you are challenging their existence.
Plus, as Corbett points out, people don't like being told "think for yourself"--it implies a lifetime of effort and questioning and fighting the herd. And yet, when the herd is leading you and everyone else into global slavery, what is the alternative?
Anyway, there is posts and posts to unpack about all this, and I'm sure you or I or both of us will be doing exactly that over the coming months!
Yes! So much recognition in what you write. The easy way out is always to go with the crowd, who usually responds to emotion. Anything else costs time and effort, but i gladly spend both in order to gain a clearer picture and to get nearer the real intentions. Glad to see we read many of the same substacks.

Excellent compilation of stacks and your own commentary here, James. Thank you for adding your voice of sanity and clarity. Really well done.
Thank you, Kathleen, that means a lot. Must've struck a nerve, I had about twenty unsubscribes. They're happier in their certainty, I guess. 😄
Not surprised at the drop.

Couldn't agree more.

Excellent quote, adding it to the post, ty!
James! What a lovely surprise to see my piece added to the illustrious already-assembled bunch. Thank you so very much.
This is the best post ever. Thank you so much.
Spot on. Thanks for this.
I will never "take sides" until I feel certain of the facts and we all know how hard a job they are to find.
As you say so many spewing hate and support hunched over their devices. Full of anger and hypocrisy.
My god how I hate social media and the influence it has on the masses.
Life is not a computer game. It isn't black and white and it isn't as told.
Think for yourself.
Again thanks for your clear thoughts on the matter.
