Thank you for a great read and wonderful advice. I pretty much quit watching the news a few months ago, and noticed an immediate improvement in my life outlook. I intend to follow your advice and slow down on my social media...gab, gettr and Truth. I love Substack and so glad to be one of your readers. Happy Sunday!
If only I could convince the parents to turn off the news. But alas, that generation (for the most part) still believes "the news" to be an authoritative source of "information" about the world. Whenever I see the news on at someone's place now it strikes me as essentially a list of "state enemies" for you to direct your hate towards, combined with a Pfizer commercial.
Do you know, it worries me when people as great as you are at communicating, can't even wake your own parents up, what hope is there for the rest of us😁
Really great stuff James. Bang on. As an aside, I often think about Terrance McKenna’s “culture is not your friend” and his insistence on “the felt moment of immediate experience.” McKenna advocated for a participatory life, an engaged life. Not this faux existence we have now. Removed from our food source, performing tasks that have no relevance and handing over our sovereignty to institutions and “experts”. Honestly if I hear the word experts again I’m gonna puke. They have been anything but. Charlatans the lot.
James!!! I am not worthy of this amazing piece of writing....... WOW!!! I just shared this on GETTR.....want people to find your great work.... https://gettr.com/post/p1htkiieeb5
Thank you for this amazing article! I love articles where the writer actually gives suggestions to navigate these crazy times. Ever since I discovered Substack I find myself spending less and less time on other social media- which is a good thing!
Outstanding advice! As Aristotle put it, "Courage is the first virtue that makes all other virtues possible."
Always be willing to learn from others, but above all, think for yourself! Trust your own instincts and seek the truth where ever you find it. The truth cannot hurt you. Fear cripples and makes cowards. Courage makes free men and women. There is no freedom without courage. With courage, all is possible. With courage we can remake the world!
Wonderful piece of writing! Thank you! I killed my TV back back in the 90’s, never owned one as an adult on my own. I never could bear TV. It’s all such a load of crap. Reading books, making art, cooking, listing to music and gardening are so much more gratifying. And yes WE are our own saviors, no one else. We all need to reject to all the bullshit as much as we can and make our own society.
Great read, thank you James, as Tolstoy wrote "The Kingdom of God is Within You ". We alone possess the power to be all that we dream, we just have to be the change we want to see in the world ( I think someone else said that). I do t actually believe in contagion, I'm not saying I'm 100% sure it does not exist, I think it might exist through telepathy or pheromones or something if it does. I just choose not to believe it because its absafuckinglutely irrelevant to my health.

Hi,
Yes, I'm a big fan of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer. "She is the chosen one" to fight the demons and vampires.
Fear is the key to control. Fear of 'nature' https://georgiedonny.substack.com/p/a-tiny-water-flea-has-31000-genes and that our bodies are not up to 'fighting' it and must be augmented or altered.
'Nature' is not against us and our bodies so know what they're doing https://georgiedonny.substack.com/p/seeing-is-believing

Like your Thoughts 1/2 way through. Gotta
Go.
Great Grandfather came from Scotland
To America. 1880s. 4 generations and the
5th have lost all touch with what America
Was, is could still be.
We have grown soft.
Complacent.
Waiting for an Avatar and getting petty tyrants.
We’ve been waiting for ourselves
Some have shown up.
Imagine a day a man on horse no fences
No electricity no luxury of if falling off
Your horse an ambulance or hospital.
We have lost our grit.
However the fear Lords have made us fear
Our own shadows. I understand it all starts
With an invincible indivisible integrity
That states I Deserve Better.
We breathe our ideas into existence
We speak our visions to manifest
If the writers can carve their ideas
Planting seeds then that’s what must be
Done.
Thanks will finish later!!
Yes, I couldn't bare it any longer either, it left such a disgusting taste in the mouth
